Folio 137: William Robert Broughton, HMS Penelope, Yarmouth Roads. Reports that Robert Phillips a Seaman ordered to be discharged from the Sick Quarters at Yarmouth into HMS Penelope has since deserted from those Sick Quarters as reported by the Agent of the Sick and Infirm. HMS Lapwing sailed today and HMS Mariner, Gun Brig arrived and sailed again for her station.
Folio 138: enclosure with folio 137. Letter dated 23 February 1803 by William Taylor, Agent of the Sick and Infirm, Sick Quarters, Yarmouth, to William Robert Broughton, HMS Penelope. States Thomas Cox and John McCawley are discharged but Robert Phillips has absented himself from quarters without leave and suspects he is a deserter.
