Description

Folio 134: William Robert Broughton, HMS Penelope, Yarmouth Roads. Encloses for information the reasons addressed by Captain Alexander Skene for calling in this port. Since the day of HMS Lapwing's arrival that the circumstances of wind and weather she could not have proceeded to North Shields.

Folios 135-136: enclosure with folio 134. Letter dated 4 March 1803 by Alexander Skene, HMS Lapwing, Yarmouth Roads, to William Robert Broughton, Senior Officer Yarmouth. Reasons for arriving in Yarmouth.
