Folio 406: Charles Worsley Boys, HMS Amaranthe, Nore. He responds to an enquiry by Rear Admiral Rowley. He sayes that Thomas Oakham alias William Oliver is an apprentice and so he has discharged him.
Folio 407: enclosure with folio 406. A petition of John Huttley, a clock maker, of Sutton Street, Clerkenwell, dated 21 June 1803. He states that Thomas Oakham alias William Oliver ran away on 6 June 1803 and volunteered for the navy on HMS Enterprize under the name of William Oliver. He says that apart from his being an apprentice, he is very deaf and has never been to sea and so he asks that he be discharged.
