Folio 404: Charles Worsley Boys, HMS Amaranthe, Nore. Further to Rear Admiral Rowley's enquiry, he writes about Robert Parmeter who is the man referred to in Mr Preston's letter which he encloses.
Folio 405: enclosure with folio 404. Letter dated 28 July 1803 by Edward Preston, Great Yarmouth, to Evan Nepean. He refers to Robert Parmenter who has been impressed. He sayes he is fifty years old and has a wife and dependent children. He is unwell with scorbutic ulcers which render him unfit for service in the navy. He had a surgeon's certificate on him certifying to his illness when he was impressed, accordingly he asks for his release.
