Folio 390: Charles Worsley Boys, HMS Amaranthe, Long Reach. He writes about an impressed man named William Sherwood. although an indentured apprentice he is near the end of his term and so he argues for his retention. William Douglas, who was also impressed, claims to be a carpenter but who only has an affidavit as evidence to that claim.
Folios 391-392: enclosure with folio 390. Letter dated 17 May 1803 by J E Willson of the ship Marian, Long Reach. He writes that he has just returned from Leghorn but on arrival his apprentice William Sherwood was impressed despite the press gang being shown his indentures which demonstrate he had 6 months left of his term of apprenticeship. He asks that the boy be released immediately.
Folio 392: enclosure with folio 390. James Bremner, swears under oath before Thomas Rowcroft a justice of the peace at London Guildhall on 19 May 1803, a statement concerning William Douglas who is his carpenter. His ship, The Charlotte, is ready to sail to Hamburg but cannot do so without a carpenter and so he asks for his discharge.
