Folio 437: Philip Beaver, Southend. States that the people who have arrived from Sheerness to fit the small vessels at Southend, Burnham and Maldon have orders to fit them with 12 pound cannonades. He had previously stated what size vessel should have which size of cannonade and none were 12 pounders. Re-iterates what they were in the letter. Also his reasoning and the effect on the enemy of larger ones.
