Folios 410-413: Philip Beaver, Maldon. Informs Admiralty there is no accommodation for the Lieutenant and staff appointed to the signal station at Prittlewell as stated in Captain Tomlinson's enclosed letter.
Folio 411: enclosure with folios 410-413. Letter dated 8 August 1803 by Lieutenant William Wilkinson to Nicholas Tomlinson, Commanding Sea Fencibles, Southend. States that in his appointment to Prittlewell instructions mentioned there being signal house or temporary buildings for himself and people, with furniture. However, there is none and asks what he should do.
