Folios 309-311: Edward Brace, HMS Camilla, Spithead. Has received their letter of 7 June, and advises that he took up the appointment to command the Isis some days ago. However he has not yet been superseded from HMS Camilla so cannot join HMS Isis yet. Says his presence 'would not be much missed' if he left now and asks to be allowed to do so.
