Folio 265: William Bowen, HMS Caroline, Portsmouth Harbour. Some time earlier he had obtained permission for Daniel Smith, an able seaman, to be examined by the Invalid Board on 8 January. The man returned with a certificate entitling him to the Out Pension, so Bowen asks if he should now discharge him from the ship's books.
