Folios 256-258: Peter Turner Bover, HMS Blenheim, Portsmouth. Undated but marked 'Saturday'. Saying he understands the Chichester is to sail immediately he has gained permission to enclose this letter in the Admiral's packet, about Mr Smail, a nephew of Admiral Dickson's. Lord St Vincent had told the admiral the young man should be sent out in the Chichester to be made aboard, but there is no order for his discharge and Bover fears the delay of a post might be serious - if they wish to go ahead, he asks that an order be sent. Adds that they were 'getting on pretty well' but that the second order for ABs and petty officers to be discharged will mean a check.
