Folio 241: James Boorder, HMS Pylades, Leith Roads. Advising that Mr Thomson, the officer in charge of this yard, has orders to retain all stores necessary to the operation of signal stations in the area, in case these stations are put back in commission. However, he has had orders from Admiral Dickson to convey these stores to Sheerness. Asks for further orders on how to proceed. PS notes the arrival of gun brig HMS Borer. Also encloses a statement of the defects of his ship.
Folios 242-243: enclosure with folio 241. Two sheets of defects of HMS Pylades listed. One signed by the boatswain, Alleson Smith, the other by David Todd, carpenter.
