Folio 240: James Boorder, HMS Pylades, Leith Roads. Advising that he has this day written to Lord St Vincent concerning his promotion, as desired by Lord Duncan. As he is not known to any of their Lordships, he asks that those at the Admiralty will do him the favour of speaking of his conduct as they think he deserves.
