Folios 435-438: William Butterfield, HMS Hazard, Spithead. Encloses a letter from the Navy Board advising him to request a Dispensing Order for the period 1 to 12 November 1798 when he was acting in HMS Foudroyant so that he might be paid.
Folio 436: enclosure with folios 435-438. Copy of letter, dated 27 December 1800, from [Harry] Harmood, [John] Henslow, and [Charles] Hope, Navy Office to William Butterfield, HMS Hazard. Advises Butterfield to apply to the Admiralty for a Dispensing Order so that he may be paid for the time he acted in HMS Foudroyant from 1 November to 12 November 1798.
