Folios 412-414: George Burdett, HMS Sophie, Sheerness Harbour. Reports that he has been advised by Captain [John] Melhuish, HMS Alliance, that George Turner, Carpenter, HMS Sophie was formerly in the Carpenter's Crew of HMS Romulus during the time of Captain George Hope and when Captain Melhuish was her Senior Lieutenant. Advises that Turner was a ringleader in the serious mutiny on board HMS Romulus and was drafted into HMS Prince George as a consequence. States that Turner's conduct was not known at the time of his promotion.
