Folio 458: John Bligh, HMS Theseus, Spithead. Request for permission to appoint George Hazel schoolmaster on HMS Theseus and encloses a certificate showing he is qualified for the position.
Folio 459: enclosure with folio 458. Certificate dated 6 August 1801 signed by Robert Preston, Thomas Brown and E J Lewrinn at Trinity House. George Hazel is qualified as assessed by Trinity House to teach the theory and practise of navigation.
