Folio 380: Edward Bowater, HMS Magnificent, Cawsand Bay. Covering letter for the enclosed from the Gunner of HMS Magnificent and requests they comply with his application. Request that John Kellock, Gunner on HMS Glatton be appointed to replace him.
Folios 381-383: enclosures with folio 380. Letter dated 4 April 1800 by William Cummings, HMS Magnificent, Cawsand Bay, to Edward Bowater, HMS Magnificent. Owing to his health he feels myself unable for actual service and requests to be moved to a ship in ordinary of the third rate.
