Folio 355: John Buchanan, HMS Roebuck, Margaret Roads. Consequent to the damaged rudder, a new one could be made at Deal or made serviceable, but Admiral Lutwidge disagreed. Captain Buchanan has sent the Carpenter's report with his opinion and that of the Officers. Repairs will be carried out in order to sea and await directions.
