Folios 264-266: William Butterfield, HMS Hazard, Plymouth. Acknowledges receipt of their letter dated 19 December 1798 informing him that the 'R' has been taken off the names of the Surgeon and the Purser. Advises that he has not seen anything or heard of the newly appointed Purser and says he should join immediately as the ship is ready to sail on 27 December 1798.
