Folios 251-253: William Butterfield, HMS Hazard, Plymouth. Replies to Admiralty letter dated 3 December 1798, advising he received orders from Vice Admiral Kingsmill [Robert Brice Kingsmill] on 7 October to proceed from Cork harbour to sea and Edward Davis, Purser, was left behind on shore. Advises that the Purser was marked absent by accident but as he has now missed 3 musters was entered as R [deserted] on 30 November 1798
