Folios 173-174: George Burlton, HMS Saldanha, Hamoaze. Informs that he will not be taking leave of absence, as HMS Saldanha has rotted in several places on her bottom and the builder at Plymouth Dock Yard is awaiting instructions from the Navy Board. Says that if it proves necessary to pay the ship off, he is willing to be employed as they see fit.
