Folios 439-440: James Boorder, HMS Espiegle, Shields. Confirming that he had taken charge of the convoy, bound for Leith, at the Nore. Reporting damage to the ship when under, Mathew Lawson, the South Shield's pilot's control and the consequent need for repair. Requesting whether the convoy should wait at this port for a few days until the ship is repaired.
