Folio 16: Sir Richard Bickerton, HMS Ramillies, St Helens. Lieutenant Simmonds was forced to leave the ship with his clothes at short notice which he believes is due to 'the indignant manner in which he delivered up his arms when required to do so by the infatuated men'. His conduct has always given satisfaction and he should not be disadvantaged when he applies for employment on a frigate going on foreign service.
