Folio 15: Sir Richard Bickerton, HMS Ramillies, St Helens. He is returing the petition and in response to the complaints made, which he considers frivolous, says that the crews have never been denied their regular dinner time and the wine was served after 4.00 pm only twice, once when moving a top mast and then when lighters came on board which he wished to have cleared so other ships were not delayed in getting their water. Concerning the complaint against the Surgeon, Mr. Allan, he has never met a Surgeon who pays the same humane attention to the sick men in his care.
