Description

Folios 233, 235: Thomas Boys, London. Request to be paid the time he acted as Captain on HMS Le Censeur as per order of Vice Admiral William Hotham from 17 March 1796 to 5 May 1796, during which time Captain Shuldham Peard was absent on duty in Naples.

Folio 234: enclosure in folios 233-235. Appointment dated 17 March 1796 by Vice Admiral William Hotham, HMS Britannia, at Sea to Thomas Boys, HMS La Fleche. Order to take command of HMS Le Censeur during the absence of Captain Shuldham Peard.
