Description

Folio 182: James Bowen, HMS Glory, Spithead. Reply to letter to Rear Admiral Sir Hugh Christian requesting the particulars of John Baker, apprenticed to Edward Box of Chichester and now on board HMS Glory. States that John Baker appears on the books of HMS Prince George to have entered at Portsmouth for the Port of London on 9 September 1795 and received 15 Guineas bounty, was discharged from HMS Lion on 19 October 1795 and is now a Landsman on the Supernumerary List on HMS Glory to be disposed of.
