Folios 8-9: William Bligh, HMS Director, Nore. Has received a letter from Colonel C Crawford at the Head Quarters of the Austrian Army with the enclosed petition [not present] from Jean Fredrick Abegg, Inspector of the Diocess [Diocese] of Boxberg in the Palalinate [Palatinate]. This petition claims his attention from the assistance received from the [now] deceased named therein when I touched on the North side of Java at Samarang [Semarang] after the loss of HMS Bounty. The petition seeks any documents that may have been taken in Dutch ships under different addresses stated in the petition.
