Description

Folio 311: Sir Richard Bickerton, HMS Ramillies, Portsmouth Harbour. Encloses an estimate of the expenses incurred by the officers of those ships which recently carried 10th and 87th Regiments and receipts from the captains for the sums paid to them.

Folio 312: enclosure in folio 311. Receipt dated 2 December 1796 by Captain John Ferrier, HMS York, Spithead, for £90 received from Captain Sir Richard Bickerton for the expenses incurred by the officers of the 87th Regiment.

Folio 313: enclosure in folio 311. Receipt dated 2 December 1796 by Captain Edward Thornbrough, HMS Robust, for £105 pounds received from Captain Sir Richard Bickerton for the expenses incurred by officers of the 10th Regiment recently embarked in HMS Robust.

Folio 314: enclosure in folio 311. Receipt dated 2 December 1796 by Lieutenant J [Selseos ?], HMS Ramillies, for £77 received from Captain Sir Richard Bickerton for the expenses incurred by officers of the 10th and 87th Regiments recently embarked in HMS Ramillies.

Folio 315: enclosure in folio 311. Receipt dated 2 December 1796 by Captain James Ross, HMS Eurus, Portsmouth, for £50 received from Captain Sir Richard Bickerton for the expenses incurred by officers of the 10th and 87th Regiments recently embarked in HMS Eurus.

Folio 316: enclosure in folio 311. Receipt dated 12 December 1796 b yCaptain Sir Richard Bickerton, HMS Ramillies, Portsmouth, for an estimate of the expenses incurred by captains and wardroom officers of HMS Ramilies, HMS Robust. HMS York and HMS Eurus while the 10th and 87th Regiments were embarked in those ships.
