Folio 300: Sir Richard Bickerton, HMS Ramillies, the Nore. Reports his arrival with HMS Robust and HMS Russell. They were ordered to leave Admiral Adam Duncan's squadron and sail to the [River] Texel to intercept a Dutch frigate and three sloops which were sailing from Norway. They did not manage to find the ships, and because of foul winds could not get close enough to the Texel to reconnoitre the enemy fleet. Encloses [no longer present] a statement of the condition of his ship.
