Folio 298: Sir Richard Bickerton, HMS Ramillies, Portsmouth. Has just heard that Mr Manger, the Purser, died on 29 September 1796, at Chatham while on leave. He recommends Mr Bromley, the present Purser of HMS Venus who is highly spoken of by oficers he has served with, to succeed him.
