Folio 234: William Bedford, HMS Queen, Spithead. Samuel Garrett was discharged from HMS Queen on 14 April 1796, to join HMS Raven at the Nore. Because of the Admiralty's letter, he is now convinced Garrett had no intention of doing so. His father is a foreman at Mr Perry's yard in Blackwall, and Garrett may turn up there as he previously worked in that yard. Gives a detailed description and says Garrett is a good shipwright and has been sober and attentive for the last six years.
