Folios 241-242: George Bowen, HMS Canada, Cove, Cork. Has received a packet of letters concerning the Court Martial applied for by Captain Edward Tyrrell Smith of HMS Abergavenny and directions to apply to Rear-Admiral Sir Robert Brice Kingsmill, Commander-in-Chief at Cork for a survey on Lieutenant Rowland Phillips of HMS Dictator and encloses a letter from John Perry, shipbuilder of Blackwall confirming the opinion of the seaworthiness of HMS Grampus.
Folio 243: enclosure in folios 241-242. Copy of a letter dated 26 November 1795 from John Edward Virling of Cove. At the wish of Rear-Admiral Sir Robert Brice Kingsmill, Commander-in-Chief at Cork, did survey and encloses a report on HMS Grampus, Captain John Williamson, by Shipwrights and the Carpenters Wilson and Taylor from HMS Malabar and HMS Dictator.
