Folio 228: George Bowen, HMS Canada, Cove, Cork. Encloses 2 letters from Captain John Williamson of HMS Grampus and a letter from Captain Thomas Totty of HMS Dictator applying for a survey on Lieutenant Rowland Phillips and has ordered a further survey of HMS Grampus.
Folio 229: enclosure in folio 228. Letter dated 14 November 1795 from Captain Thomas Totty, HMS Dictator, Cove, Cork to Captain George Bowen, HMS Canada, Cove, Cork. Encloses a letter from Lieutenant Rowland Phillips and asks to refer him for a medical survey.
Folio 230: enclosure in folio 228. Letter dated 14 November 1795 from Lieutenant Rowland Phillips, HMS Dictator, Cove, Cork to Captain Thomas Totty. HMS Dictator. Reports several afflictions rendering him unfit for duty and requests a survey on his state of health.
Folio 231: enclosure in folio 228. Letter dated 15 November 1795 from Captain John Williamson, HMS Grampus, Cove, Cork to Captain George Bowen, HMS Canada, Cove, Cork. A number of seamen having run from his ship, he requests that further men be appointed to make up the numbers.
