Folio 335: Thomas Maude, Naval Agent, Westminster. Requests that Captain Albemarle Bertie is paid his expenses for coming to town with dispatches from Commodore Sir John B Warren in Quiberon Bay after he landed ar Portsmouth.
Folio 336: enclosure in folio 335. Letter dated 19 August [1795] by Albemarle Bertie, Quiberon to Mr Maude. Requests that Mr Maude applies for his expenses for coming to town. Had orders from Sir John Warren to proceed immediately from any part of England. Does not know his exact expenses, but they could not be less than £20.
