Folio 306: Velters Cornewall Berkeley, HMS Emerald, Woolwich. Encloses [not present] a report on the state of the vessel, and reports that it is ready to proceed to Long Reach. He will sail as soon as winds allow. Observes that the 20 yachtsmen ordered on 11 September to be lent to HMS Emerald have not materialised, and the Greenwich Hospital men are mostly incapable of going aloft. Requests temporary assistance.
