Description

Folios 305-306: Velters Cornewall Berkeley, HMS Emerald, Woolwich. Reports that Lieutenant Governor Lookes of Greenwich Hospital has no men to spare at present. Points out that there are 12 gun boats (formerly Thames barges) that have been unemployed for many months with 48 Greenwich men on board, including the Masters of the barges. Requests an order for an appropriate number of these men to assist in equipping HMS Emerald.
