Folio 256: Lambert Brabazon, Dublin. Acknowledges orders not to press from protections and that orders have been sent to Lieutenant Wall of the Britannia tender to proceed to Dublin for the men belonging to Captain Packenham.The Lord Lieutenant has asked him to requisition a ship and send them off, but there are none available on reasonable terms. He has agreed to hire a brig from Whitehaven called the Love mounting 12 guns besides swivels which is expected next tide. This will be a useul addition to his current tenders. The Favourite Nanny and Jason tenders have arrived . Lieutenant Boyd of the former has come ashore sick, obliging him to find a replacement if the ship is ordered to Plymouth before his return.
