Description

Folios 97-98. J Beynon to Adam Kilsby, Postmaster of Coventry [Warwickshire]. General Wade should be at Brampton [Cumberland]. Lord Elcho marching 200 horse and 2000 men [Jacobites] to Penrith [Cumberland]. Dated at Preston [Lancashire].

With copy of [Unknown] to [Beynon]. Account of fall of Carlisle [Cumberland] and Marshal Wade's approach from Hexham [Northumberland]. Dated at Penrith, 18 November 1745. Note on reverse from R Saxby to Kilsby to send original to Postmaster General in London. Dated at Stone [Staffordshire], 20 November 1745.
