Folios 29-31. Draft. Newcastle to Earl of Derby. Authorises payment to militia. Colonel Molesworth has list of militia office from Duke of Cumberland and Secretary of War. Carlisle [Cumberland] surrendered; Marshal Wade marching there from Newcastle [Northumberland]. Flintshire might rebel against Chester [Cheshire]. Sir John Ligonier's regiments marching to Lancashire and Cheshire. Colonel Ellison, Quartermaster General, coming to Litchfield [Lichfield, Staffordshire] with details of government forces. Dated at Whitehall [London, Middlesex].
