Incorporated under their Act 12th August 1867. Company was to be worked by Taff Vale Railway Company for 999 years by virtue of Rhondda Valley and Hirwain Junction Railway Act of 17th June 1878, but was amalgamated with that Company as from 1st July 1889 by Taff Vale Railway (Amalgamations and Capital) Act 26th August 1889. Taff Vale Railway Company was amalgamated with Great Western Railway Company as from 1st January 1922 under Great Western Railway (Western Group) Preliminary Amalgamation Scheme 1922 dated March 25th 1922.
