Folios 247-248: Abel Ferris, Weymouth.
Relates that on 21 December 1807 Admiral Lord Cuthbert Collingwood appointed him acting commander of HMS Cephalus and on 21 February 1808 he was superceded and later appointed to HMS Wizard. He was informed that the captain of HMS Cephalus had passed his annual accounts and that his own agent Cooke & Halford, Strand, would receive his wages for the period he was in command of her. The payment has not been received.
