Folios 95-96: Alexander Fraser, HMS Halifax, Spithead. Reports his arrival from Bermuda having sailed on 10 February 1812 with HMS Swift in convoy. HMS Swift parted company on 24 February in a heavy gale. He refers to the enclosures.
Folios 97-98: enclosed with folios 95-96. A copy of orders dated 4 February 1812 by Admiral Herbert Sawyer to take HMS Swift under his command and see her to Portsmouth. Before sailing he should deliver unneeded stores and received mail for England. Further details follow.
Folio 99: enclosed with folios 95-96. Copy of a letter from Alexander Fraser dated 4 February 1812 to W Moubray in command of HMS Swift relaying the orders received from the Admiral. Folio 100 not used.
Folio 101: enclosed with folios 95-96. Signed by Captain Alexander Fraser and C Bate, carpenter, dated 6 March 1812 a list of defects of HMS Halifax.
