Having been ordered to attend the court martial of William Chichester Edwards in the Downs as evidence, he reports that he has now received a subpoena from Lieutenant Edwards to attend the Court of Kings Bench on the same cause. He has explained the circumstances to Admiral Sir Thomas Foley and now writes that he has not proceeded to Deal as previously ordered.
