He had been assured that his nephew would be sent out to join Sir Francis Laforey. As the convoy is about to sail he repeats the request.
Folio 61: enclosed with folios 59-60. Dated 1 February 1812 noted that Lieutenant Richard Copeland appointed to HMS Thalia to be appointed to a ship at home at an early opportunity.
Folio 62: enclosed with folios 59-60. Undated note: Lieutenant John Davis Mercer of HMS Cygnet to join Rear Admiral Sir Francis Laforey.
