Folio 254: enclosure with folio 253. Journal of logs of HMS Irresistible, George Fowke, Captain, at Gillingham Reach of weather conditions and prisoner and ships' movements, in the area during period Sunday 2 June 1811 to Saturday 8 June 1811. Reports that Lieutenant Debousset, a French Officer, who was wounded on HMS Sampson, died on board HMS Trusty. Advises he attended on Saturday 8 June 1811 as a Member of a Court of Enquiry with Captain Bingham and Captain [Ussher ?] into the contents of a letter written by French Prisoners on board HMS Sampson regarding the events of 31 May 1811 on board HMS Sampson. Mentions HMS Raisonable, HMS Glory, HMS Buckingham, HMS Bahama and the William Pitt, East Indiaman.
