Folios 234-235: George Ferguson, HMS Pylades, Deptford. Reports on the case of William Delaney and observes that is his opinion and that of the Surgeon, Delaney's illnesses have been brought on by excessive drinking and that he also considers Delaney to be a mutinous, designing and dangerous character possessed of a certain plausibility which when turned to bad purposes is capable of winning a Ship's Company. Advises that Delaney is currently a prisoner at large for contentious expression, but will order him to attend the survey at Woolwich on disabled men which may help the Admiralty on their decision regarding Delaney's application.
