Folios 211-212: Matthew Flinders, London. Advises that he has been paid as Commander of HMS Investigator from 16 February 1801 to 22 July 1803 but explains that he was appointed Lieutenant of HMS Investigator on 19 January 1801 and on 26 January superseded John Henry Martin as Commander but has received no pay for the period 26 January 1801 to 16 February 1801. Also requests his journals are dispensed with for that period.
