Description

Folios 207-208: George Ferguson, HMS Pyaldes, Spithead. Encloses an Acting Order by Admiral Sir Charles Cotton, appointing John McInnes to act as Carpenter in HMS Pylades. Recommends John McInnes has being worthy of confirmation in the post.

Folios 209-210: enclosure with folios 207-208. Orders, 27 July 1810, by Admiral Sir Charles Cotton, HMS San Josef off Toulon to John McInnes, Caulker's Mate, HMS San Josef. Appoints John McInnes as Acting Carpenter, HMS Pylades replacing the Carpenter who has been appointed to HMS Frederickstein.
