Having been promoted to the rank of Post Captain and finding by private letter that the command of HMS Mutine is to devolve on Lieutenant Frederick William Burgoyne who lately went out as a passenger in HMS Nemesis to the Brazils. Requests to remain in HMS Mutine until superceded.
