Folios 479-480: William Charles Fahie, HMS Abercrombie, Hamoaze. Covering letter for the enclosed letter from Lieutenant [William Howard] McDougall of HMS Abercrombie which he requests be laid before the Admiralty. As Lieutenant Scott who was appointed early last month in the room of Lieutenant Francis Gore Willock, removed to HMS Dragon, has never joined HMS Abercrombie or in any way reported. He requests Lieutenant Thomas Simpson.
Folios 481-482: enclosure with folios 479-480. Letter dated 11 October 1810 by William Howard McDougall, HMS Abercrombie to William Charles Fahie, HMS Abercrombie. His health having been impaired. He requests you apply for a Lieutenant senior to himself being appointed.
