Description

Folios 183-184: Thomas Forrest, HMS Cyane, Spithead. Having brought home Lieutenant General Sir John Sherbrooke KB as per the enclosed Order he requests the usual remuneration.

Folios 185-186: enclosure with folios 183-184. Letter dated 3 May 1810 by Vice Admiral George Cranfield Berkeley, HMS Barfleur, Tagus, to Thomas Forrest, HMS Cyane. The Commander in Chief of the British Army having requested that Lieutenant General Sir John [Coape] Sherbrooke KB, returning to England. You are required to receive on board the said Lieutenant General, his Aide de Camp, Servants and Baggage on board HMS Cyane and land them in Portsmouth. You will also receive on board the Public Mail, there being no Packet here, and land them at Spithead.
